Trip to Mysore

Mysore located in the Karnataka State and popular for the historical places. The place is famous for the heritage structures and Mysore Palace is the main attaraction for the tourist around the world. Lets have a short look and guide for trip to Mysore (Mysuru).

How to reach: Near about 145 km from the Bengalru. Direct buses are available from the Bengaluru. Good connectivity of the train, bus and other transports.

Chamundeshwari Temple: Located in 13km from the Mysore. 45 min approx time. No entry fees. Very nice place for visit and worship. Mahishasura Statue is located near to the temple.




Mysore Wax Museum: Its also known as Melody wax Museum, with 19 galleries and more than 300 musical instruments. Must to see the various bands like Indian, Hip hop, Jazz and Rock etc. You can see the statue of the famous personalities as well. Entry fee required.

Mysuru Sand Sculpture Museum: Very compact and nice museum with the sand art by the artist and with several sculptures. Art made by using sand and main attraction for all visitors. Entry fee required.

Mysore Maharaja Palace: Ambavilas Palace, otherwise known as the Mysore Palace, is a historical palace and a royal residence at Mysore in the southern Karnataka state of India. It is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. (Wikipedia)

Tipu Sultan palace: As indicated by the name itself the Palace . You can see the history of the Tipu Sultan inside the palace. Outside area has nice garden. Entry fee required.

Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple: On the way while travelling to Brindavan Garden, very nice and silent place of temple. Temple is open all the day and quick darshan facility also available.

Mysore zoo park: Visit Mysore zoo to see the close views of wild animals like lions,tigers, elephant, zebra, giraffes. As well as you can see the various bird. Place is very big and takes around more than 1 hr to see by walking around the roads. Inside transport facility also available. This is the oldest zoo of the country. Entry fee required.

Brindavan Garden and KRS dam: Garden is located near to the KRS dam. This dam is confluence of three rivers water Cauvery, Hemavati and Lakshmanthritha. This dam is constructed under supervision of Mr. Visvesvarya. Entry fee required.

Railway Museum Mysore: The Railway Museum at Mysore, India is an outdoor exhibit of vintage locomotives. The Railway Museum was established in 1979 by Indian Railways, the second such museum after the National Railway Museum in Delhi. Wikipedia
