Patriotic places in India to visit on Independence day

 

On August 15, India will mark its 77th anniversary of independence. The ceremonies of this important national occasion are taking place across the entire country .   



Given that it is a long weekend, many individuals intend to go on quick travels close by to break up the routine of their daily lives. Why not go somewhere that makes you feel patriotic this time? The story of India's struggle for independence is told in a number of locations throughout the nation. To keep our nation alive today, thousands of citizens sacrificed their lives. Do not disregard their struggle. To experience what it's like to live in a free India, go along one of these streets.

India Gate : A war memorial called the India Gate is situated close to the Kartavya walk on the eastern edge of New Delhi's "ceremonial axis," which was originally known as Rajpath.



Red Fort : The Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila, is a significant fort in Delhi, India's Old Delhi neighborhood. It was once the Mughal emperors' primary residence. When Emperor Shah Jahan chose to move his capital from Agra to Delhi on May 12, 1638, he ordered the Red Fort's construction. 



Jallianwala Bagh: Jallianwala Bagh is a historical  and national memorial located near the Golden Temple complex in Amritsar, Punjab, India. It was built in 1919 to honor the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, which occurred there on the Baisakhi festival holiday.

Attari border wagah : Since 1959, the security forces of India and Pakistan have worked together to perform the daily Central Armed Police Force ceremonial of lowering the flags at the Attari-Wagah border.

Jhansi fort: The fort known as Jhansi Fort or Jhansi ka Qila is located in Uttar Pradesh on top of a sizable hilltop known as Bangira. From the 11th through the 17th centuries, Balwant Nagar served as the Chandela Kings' stronghold.

Sabarmati Ashram : The Sabarmati Ashram is situated adjacent to Ashram Road on the Sabarmati River's banks in Ahmedabad, Gujarat's Sabarmati neighborhood, 6 kilometers from the town center. When Mahatma Gandhi wasn't traveling or in prison, he lived in numerous different places, including Sabarmati and Sevagram.

Gateway of India : An arch-shaped monument known as The Gateway of India was constructed in Mumbai, India, in the early 20th century. It was built to honor King-Emperor George V's arrival in India in December 1911 along Strand Road next to Wellington Fountain, the first British monarch to visit the country.




Aga Khan Palace : In the Indian city of Pune, Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III constructed the Aga Khan Palace. The palace was built as a charitable gesture by the spiritual leader of the Nizari Ismaili Muslims, who intended to provide work for the hungry people in Pune's surrounding areas who had been severely affected by hunger.


Netaji bhawan :Subhas Chandra Bose, an Indian liberation fighter, is honored at the Netaji Bhawan memorial.  Bose's father constructed this home in 1909. Even after his escape to Berlin in 1941, he was placed under house arrest here. 
Currently, Netaji Bhawan is kept up as a research facility and a memorial. Photos of his life, the gateway vehicle, and the staircase he used to flee have all been preserved. 
A museum, library, and archives are located in the memorial and showcase his bravery and patriotism during India's freedom movement. A visit here on Republic Day would make you appreciate and feel thanks in your heart for this illustrious freedom fighter.

Andaman and Nichbar Island :Indian archipelago known as the Andaman Islands is located in the Bay of Bengal. Mangroves, tropical rainforests, and white-sand beaches studded with palm trees can all be found on these 300 or so islands. Popular diving and snorkeling locations are coral reefs with a variety of marine life, including sharks and rays. Native Andaman Islanders live on the farther-flung islands, many of which are off-limits to tourists.

Port blair :The capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, an Indian colony in the Bay of Bengal, is Port Blair on South Andaman Island. Its seaside Cellular Jail, built in 1906, stands as a memorial to Indian freedom campaigners and serves as a reminder of its former status as a British penal colony. The Samudrika aquatic Museum is located inland and features local aquatic life. The indigenous tribes of the islands are highlighted in the Anthropological Museum.
